The Cape Palliser Lighthouse is located in the Wellington region of the North Island of New Zealand. The lighthouse was built in 1897 and was originally powered by oil. It was connected to the electricity grid in 1967.
The Cape Palliser Lighthouse is one of three lighthouses in New Zealand with a distinct striped paint scheme.
